Welcome

Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the blogspot of t12b and Ryan. Here your gonna learn about our struggle and Overcoming of humanities 2008-2009. We had fun this year and we'll miss all the peeps I knew and love.

Our little advice #1

Yo Yo Yo. What's up peeps. Tai and Ryan here and to all the little upcoming face of 8th grade this will be the most dramatic year of your life. Here's a little advice: When your in any teacher's class if you have your appearance like your a professional and you read and do your work Which is easy they'll not only yell at you but also like you so much he'll even help you on a daily basis but if you goof around alot they'll Make your year a living hell. well thats it. I'm tai and I'm Ryan. Play loyalty, Respect.
P.S. Say Patriots in Ms. Charles class its funny. :)

Our Little advice #2

Yo Yo Yo. Tai and Ryan here to give you another important advice for the minion's of 8th grade. This one's kinda personal. Advice number 2 is to not get suspended. Yeah to alot suspension may be fun but it isn't as fun as missing out on all the senior activities that's fun and especially missing more work than when your absent. Suspension = A bad rep for you. Trust me. I was rejected once cause of a suspension in 6th grade. Well that's it. For all the lovers, haters, and inbetweeners I'm Tai and I'm Ryan. Play, Loyalty, Respect. :)

Our little advice #3

Yo Yo Yo Tai and Ryan here and today I'm gonna give you my last tip of advice. Ok I think this one is alittle dumb to some people but you absolutely must have passion in your school. Even though there are some days where you may want to change schools I'm telling you its more worth it to feel like your gonna fly in your senior trip. Also don't forget the prom. So have passion, respect your teachers, and most importantly respect yourself. Don't say we are copying young jinsu cause We said respect yourself cause we're not but what he said though is true. Now our fellow 8th grade minions. Its time for you to change the face of this school. We had given you enough tips. For all the lover's, hater's, and inbetweener's I'm Tai and I'm Ryan. Play, Royalty, Respect. :)

The shortest post to date :-)

Yay. I graduated middle school. But I have this weird feeling of missin my peeps. Well summer began and so far its not even as hot as last year. But summer's fun. I got 2 new games for my ps2 to hype up for ps3. I saw 2 of the hottest summer movies ( Ice age 3 and Transformers 2 ). I played ball with some kids at the community center. And I just got started. I still got alot more to do for the most fun/funtastical summer ever.

P.S. The new 8th grade, UNMS, and Ms. Charles: Patriots/Giants/Jets and knicks/heat/76ers forever. Lakers and Steelers are whack :)

Our favorite unit

We had done the reading reflection. We outlast the writing reflection. Now to our toughest task: The essential question reflection. Or not.

Tai: I don't know about you but the rights unit is the best.
Ryan: well I must have a thing for war because my favorite unit was the war unit
Tai: War, War, Rights forever yo. We have war for rights so Rights top over war.
Ryan: Well they both go together
Tai: Got that right. Rights is the main debate for gays and others like sex slaves or something like that.
Ryan: Rights are sometimes the cause of war. Wars are fought for things like religion , power, money, material items and much much more.
Tai: Ok I might see that but civil rights movement are more peaceful.
Ryan: Most war are last resorts. Many country don't like going to war because they are losing lives, sometimes not over a just cause.
Tai: So your saying peaceful protest don't work?
Ryan: No but sometime war can't be avoided. It may come down as a only choice.
Tai: Again I get what you are saying but seriously do you think fighting over something stupid is more worth it than solving something in a more peaceful way like talking to the judicial branch and say that isn't right?
Ryan: I get what your saying but lets say... that people don't like what 1 country is doing to another. If we do a peaceful protest will that really work just ask yourself. Would they really care. Sometime brute force may be the answer. sometimes you should just stand up and fight back than getting walked all over.
Tai: Ok but lets get the facts straight, People are being said to be extinct by 2012 and in order to avoid that we should instead of wasting time with violence work our way to rebuilding our countries and respect their rights said in the 9th amendment.
Ryan: What do you mean by this 2012 conspiracy?
Tai: I don't know. Alot of people are bringing that up. I don't believe that. God knows when we die. But I just brought that up.
Ryan: Well humans have been harboring war ever since the start of humanity. I guess war is something that will go on
Tai: Well rights have been going on since the start of humanity too. Rights are somethings that's gonna last forever.
Ryan: well Its like they say war never changes just the technology.
Tai: Well Rights and war will never change. Some one will win, Some one will lose, Etc.

So Tai likes the rights unit better but Ryan likes the war unit more.

Tai: I liked all the units. All of them left unsolved mysteries that will never be completely solved. But to me the Rights unit is the best. Don't criticize.
Ryan:

Songs, Movies, and NBA stars and ?????? who imspired me to become a better me part 2

BE WARNED. IF u HAVEN'T READ PART ONE. CLOSE UR EYES SCROLL DOWN AND SLOWLY GO UP TO PART ONE. IF U DON'T FOLLOW BAD LUCK WILL HAPPEN WOOOOOOO

Now were back to the list already. Well no time wasted lets continue:

5. The Lion King: The best disney movie period. The Lion King. This movie is so big it makes me cry, especially when mufasa's ghost comes to talk some sense into Simba. The sequel was alright. Not as inspiring as the 1st one. There's action, Drama, And enough comedy for me to put this in # 5.

4. Barack Obama: My President's black. BARACK OBAMA. A basketball player, respected all over the world, what else can you ask for. Now phase 1 has been accomplished but what about phase 2: Fix the US from what Bush did? Can He live up to the hype? I think so what about you people?

3. The 90's New York Knicks: The Old NBA to me was the best ever. Where competition
rose in great levels. Even the last place team had passion in it. But There was one team that to me had the most passion: The New York Knicks. Lets face it. The most humongous fan base ever. And on top of that: I used to play with them. :). So they told me to believe and all that stuff u see in fantasy movies well its true. That's why the Knicks are #3.

2. My family/friends: If there's one bunch of people who have an inspiration on me its my family and friends. Grounding me, talking to me about stuff that happens around the world. Its a life lesson. Except for my dad who I've never saw since birth. But yeah my family makes me do stuff I've never thought I can do. My friends are my power too. Both watch my back when someone's about to do evil to me. I would write a speech on why My family and friends #2 but the runner-up to #1 is waiting so I can't write more.

Runner-up to #1. Myself: Yeah It's confusing but I've inspired myself in some ways. One I've respected myself. Two I've made most decisions myself. I am choosing my path the way I want to and it may be confusing but thats the reality of life. I wish I could put myself in #1 but there's someone more powerful than me.

Now to what everyone is waiting for. Drum roll please.
And #1 is: The Lord Christ: The Almighty lord Christ is so inspirational he makes me do so many things I thought were impossible. They make movies, bibles, songs, and a whole lot of others about him. Christ died in his cross to cure my sins when everyone despised him. It was too touching to me. There are many questions as to why he did that and I'm wondering that too. I hope that Christ comes back like the bible said. I really want to not only meet him but ask him about so much stuff that I am blinded by. I can write 5 songs as to why he's so inspirational but I can't now cause in 2 minutes its my bed time. So that's enough said and done. The Lord and Savior Christ is #1 to me.

And thats it. Everything that's all good related is my inspiration. Even the flowers are inspirational. For all the lover's, Hater's, and Inbetweener's I am T12B. Peace out yo. Play, Loyalty, Respect. :)

Songs, Movies, and NBA stars and ?????? who imspired me to become a better me part 1

10. Hope by Twista feat. Faith Evans: This Song Inspired me because there were some harsh times that I went through and it wasn't easy for me to get over it but I was hopeful to God and I became hopeful. This Song is one of my favorite songs. If possible I could move this to #2. That's how much I love this song. I don't care if its 50 tears old I will listen to this song.
9. Meet The Robinsons: Yes another disney movie. But this is different. This is about a kid who has no mother nor father and he went through sad times but with the help of his future son he was able to keep living how he wants to live. My mom likes this movie.lol.

8. Allen Iverson: Arguably one of my favorite players(other than Lebron James and Tracy McGrady). Still going with the millions who like iverson instead of listening to like the other millions and call it quits to me is tough to do. Not even I can do that now and I'm still trying. "Whatever you want to be in your life, concentrate on just doing that. It's not about everything else. God gave everybody a talent. It's up to you to recognize what it is. He's gonna put it right in your face. Once you recognize what that talent is, you know what you've gotta do to get to that level. Do everything it takes to get there. If you want to be a basketball player, you know you gotta go to school first. You've got to do the things necessary that it takes to be somebody. If you don't do it, you won't. If you do it, you will." That's tough. Fits Iverson perfectly.

7. Don't stop believin by Journey: Wow I never knew I would pick something under not only rock but in the 80's. Wow. The theme of this school year: Don't Stop Believin. And its true. "Don't stop believin. Hold on to that feelin" Always gets me motivated. Nothing else to say.
6. TI: TI's a tough rapper but unlike others he talks about changin yourself well in most songs which I like about him. Me, nor my kids in the future will ever change the fact that TI is one of my favorite rappers ever. Enough said and Done.

And #5 is umm excuse me for a moment. 5 minutes later. "Yeah what's that again.... Ok ok no problem bye". Unfortunately I can't reveal the other 5 inspirations. Well that's it. For all the lovers, haters, and inbetweeners I'm Tai B. Thanks 4 reading and search for the part 2 of the inspiration.

Books...

Reading is something I don't get excited about. I would say reading is not important but we all know that's not true. Reading is important for many reasons that I'm not going to get into. I say why read a book when you can occupy yourself with stuff like TV,video games, an the almighty Internet we all use. why? -----> insert Corney line here (I just don't know what to write). So on with the books. So one book this year that I love(a word I don't use a lot) is "Fallen Angels" by Walter Dean Myers. Lets see...how can I put this. I must like this book because I didn't read it twice but thrice...wait that makes no sense. I meant three times(see what TV does to me). picking up the same book twice is pretty rare for me because I'm picky with mostly everything. So on with the book. The story revolves around Richie Perry a seventeen-year-old high school graduate from Harlem. He is living the dead end city life. So he joins the Army. Joining the Army during this time period means fighting in Vietnam and Richie hadn't realized how horrifying that would be. At home waits an alcoholic single mother and a younger brother (Kenny) who depends on him. His love for Kenny is his only reason for fighting this war. Richie is more of a father figure to Kenny. Richie and his mother have never gotten along. They try to repair their damaged relationship through their letters. The letters are an important part of the story. The letters Richie writes home symbolize his changing attitude toward the war...
Want to know more well actually pick up the book an read it like I did. I guarantee if you don't like this book I will be glad to let you punch me in the gut (maybe). Well if you have spare time you should pick up this book and give it a try you might like it...or love it. Until I find another book (worthy of my writing) this book will have to do, like I said I don't have many books I "love".

Day two: Our Writing Reflection

Now that we had finished our reading reflection, now we were given the 2nd task of making a writing reflection

Ryan: writing... to me it is when you put pen to paper an make scribbles.
Tai: writing to me is when you have thought and then you put pen to paper and make scribbles. This to me is better than reading :)
Ryan: don't get me wrong writing is how we get all of our books but writing is not my strength.
Tai: It isn't that much of my strength there are some weak points.
Ryan: for starters my handwriting isn't all that good its actually horrible.
Tai: na its finding a good transition to connect to the next paragraph and trying to think of a good conclusion
Ryan: to tell the truth my writing has gotten better in a way its not the best but i improved
Tai: Thank Mr. Locker for yelling and urging us to do better and mainly our parents and God. Yo they all helped me do better in my writing.
Ryan: Before I thought writing was putting pen to paper and make words. I still believe this but putting pen to paper is going to get me through high school and all my life.
Tai: Hell yeah. It'll help me as a person to be better. Its kinda funny with the girls writing more than boys cause of their "diary".
Ryan: If u say so tai but one thing i can say is most girls write more neat then guys. I am not trying to say boys don't write neat(even though many don't)
Tai: True but there are some girls who write more than boys( except for me) Na just kidding. you have to admit that unless its a list.
Ryan: once again if you say so.
Tai: Ok lets just drop the subject. Anyways writing can help me with aim alot especially with the grammar and emotion faces :)
Ryan: well I was never good with grammar. Reminds me of when I was little. when I was growing up I would talk in 3rd person. I would say things like "Ryan's hungry" or "Ryan wants juice".
Good times.
Tai: Me too I was like "Tai doo doo" or "Tai Walk walk"

So Tai is stronger at writing than reading but its the opposite to Ryan

Tai: I don't like writing poetry. But I like writing rhymes and thats cool and writing is better and more helpful to me in life than reading.
Ryan: instead of frying my brain with tv or playing mindless video games maybe just maybe I might just write an essay. not really.

Day one: Our Reading reflections

Ryan and Tai has been given the task of reflecting how we grew as a reader

Tai: I can't say everything about how I grew but I remember begging my mom to read dinosaur books when I was 3
Ryan: Well in terms of actually reading I still feel the same. Reading is something just blahhh
Tai: I know, Even though I didn't like to read a lot over the summer this year I tend to like books based on games :)
Ryan: Reading is not always boring. Sometimes reading can be fun... okay not really fun but interesting and time consuming. Do you read when your on the train sometimes?
Tai: Even though its kinda annoying sometimes it gives me a better feel of life. U know what I mean.
Ryan: No... kind of sometimes books remind you of how good your life is.
Tai: :). Books have many emotions though I don't have any for reading. Its like watching tv and comparing it to life. For example when you watch tv and a girl sounds like a boy it dosen't sound funny like listening to a girl sound like a boy in real life.
Ryan: Books have emotions. When I read I tend to trail off and make movies in my head and then get lost in my head with mindless thoughts.
Tai: Laugh out loud. Like now when I'm reading halo I feel like I'm playing it and currently watching cutscenes and then forget it and work.
Ryan: When it comes for that time to read at home I have to make sure its quiet because I would get distracted or tempted to start watching tv or something. It just has to be the right time for reading when I'm in the mood.
Tai: Hell Yeah. Would you prefer reading the worst book ever or play harry potter 5 the game?
Ryan: Well Most games tofay are mindless but I still love them the most. I don't like harry potter for some odd reason so no to both.
Tai: U know there are more successful movie's based on books than games based on books. Is it a good thing to read books so that u know what goes on in a movie?
Ryan: Well to tell the truth I rather watch a movie than read a book any day. But movies are usually based on books so if you wanted some details you should read the book.

In Conclusion even though Tai and Ryan dosen't like books a lot we do read it for many reasons and sometimes reading to us is cool.

Ryan: well to make time go by there are many other things to do. On my spare time I do things like fry my brain by watching tv or play mindless games and maybe just maybe I might just open a book.
Tai: Yeah even though reading is boring a little I did tend to do it and have fun and evolve more as a reader with help from my teachers and parents.
